Through television, film, digital content, live events, newspaper, yearbook, studio production and more, we connect students and the City of Crown Point with Northwest Indiana and beyond through our award-winning premier collection of Radio, TV, Print, and Digital Media Production.
Crown Town Media’s CPTV newscast and the DOG Radio.com have won numerous Indiana Association of School Broadcasters awards such as Best Newscast and Best Radio Talk Show. The newscast has also won Best Newscast multiple times at the Midwest Media Educators Association annual festival, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Crystal Pillar for Best Newscast, received a nomination for a national Crystal Pillar in 2017.
Crown Town Media produces a number of short film projects and commercials for local businesses yearly and are available for viewing on CTM’s YouTube page.
The Excalibur yearbook and Inklings newspaper have earned numerous Hoosier Star awards from the Indiana High School Press Association. Nationally, they have also been named as All-American by the National Scholastic Press Association and as Gold Medal winners by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Inklings was named a Pacemaker finalist by the NSPA in 2016.
Crown Town Media is under the advisement of Crown Point High School teachers Brent Barber, Chris Gloff, Julie Elston, Lisa Keene, and Kelly Gramenz.
